Amanda I. "Manny" Hites, age 45, of Indianapolis, passed away all too soon on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Manny was born on September 20, 1979, in Lafayette, to the late Richard and Norma (Denny) Hites Jr. She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School and furthered her education at Lincoln Tech, specializing in auto mechanics. Manny was a talented freelance tattoo artist based in Indianapolis, where her creative artistry was appreciated by many.
A gifted artist, Manny was known for her exceptional drawing and painting skills, as well as her love of crafting. Her unique artistic expression was a defining part of who she was. Manny had a deep affection for her family and loved ones, and her spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and found joy in watching YouTube videos and enjoying cat memes, which always brought a smile to her face.
In addition to her parents, Manny was preceded in death by her sister, Samantha Ann Hites; and a niece, Aubrey Phyllis Kay-Hites.
She is survived by her adopted daughter, Angelica Pierce of Trafalgar; siblings, Donald Hites of Logansport, Tammy Jo (Richard) Hites-Streeter of Kokomo, Nick Hites of Trafalgar, Carolyn (Rob) Hites of Bean Blossom, Carrie Hites of Indianapolis, and Bobby Davis of Martinsville; grandchildren, Ryah Windell, Joletta Sizemore, Anthony Sizemore, and Alex Sizemore; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends and adopted family; and her life partner, Violet Hites of Indianapolis.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
