McCLELLAN, William William Edward McClellan, 65, of Seabrook Island, SC, the husband of Judith Sickert McClellan, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2005 at his residence. Mr. McClellan was born in Lafayette, IN, on Tuesday, April 30, 1940, son of Homer William and Kathryn Louise Kinsinger McClellan. He was a graduate of Purdue University, Class of 1961. Mr. McClellan was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, the John Purdue Club, where he also recruited for Purdue Universities football and basketball programs. Mr. McClellan was on the 1960 Purdue Golf Team, the only collegiate team that ever beat Jack Nicholas's team. He honorably served our county as an officer in the US Army from 1961 until 1966. Mr. McClellan became the International Marketing Manager for IBM retiring after 30 years of service. He resided in Vincennes, IN, Charleston, WV and Westport, Ct for 20 years until his retirement to Seabrook Island in 1976. Surviving Mr. McClellan is his loving wife of 44 years, Judith S. McClellan, son; Mart G. McClellan and his wife Lindsey of Lake Forest, IL, a daughter; Tracy K. McClellan Lombardo and her husband Christopher of Vernon Hills, IL, a son; Mathew W. McClellan and his wife Laura of West Lafayette, IN, a sister; Mary Ann Kearney and her husband Kevin of Midland, MI, his favorite uncle; Robert McClellan of West Point, IN, a beloved aunt; Elnora Bullman of Lafayette, IN, two brother-in-laws; John G. Sickert and family of Marion, IN, James L. Sickert of Los Angeles, CA, seven grandchildren , 2 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. William E. McClellan will be held at a later date. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Pet Helpers, 1430 Folly Rd., Charleston, SC 29412.
