Charles Anson Hughes, 51, of
West Lafayette, IN, died suddenly in his home on October 12, 2013. Charles was born August 6, 1962 in Moses Lake,
Washington to Esther Hughes of West Lafayette
and the late Dr. Anson Hughes.
Charles's schooling was in West Lafayette, graduating in 1980. He earned an associates degree from Ivy Tech and attended Purdue University. He was certified in HVAC, welding and had a real estate license.
His daughter stated, "He was never afraid of anything and he enjoyed being outside with his family, model airplanes, model helicopters, kites, woodworking, and motorcycling.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Morgan Hughes and a son, Riley Hughes, both of Lafayette, his mother, Esther Hughes of West Lafayette and twin sisters, Sandy Schmid and Kandice Moore, both of New Hampshire.
There will be a private ceremony. Any memorial gifts are requested to be given to the American Diabetes Association. Hippensteel Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
