Introduction

This site honors our West Lafayette High School
(West Lafayette, Indiana, USA)
classmates who have passed away.

INTRODUCTION

We wish to honor our former high school classmates who have passed away.   We each have our own personal memories.  Growing up in West Lafayette and beyond we've been touched by former classmates in varying ways.    Many of our classmates have had wonderful and amazing lives.  Some have had a tragically short time with us.

In 2010 I heard through my class’s email group that Richard (Dick) Bossung’s (retired teacher and coach at WLHS) daughter Beth had died near where I now live.   I didn’t know Beth, nor was I close to Mr. Bossung.   I went to the funeral out of respect and to “represent” many classmates who cared for the Bossungs but couldn’t attend the funeral.   It was sad, but also inspirational, to hear and see how this young woman had so deeply affected so many.

This site consists of over 270 individual pages (a separate page for each listed classmate and each listed class year) and will grow over time.   Where available and/or where you write them it will contain obituaries/biographies of individual classmates.

Included in the site are individuals who died tragically extremely young such as:  Lauren Wastl (2001) whose life was cut short in a car accident while she was in high school and Zvi Barash (1972) who suddenly died at West Lafayette Junior High School football practice, before he even had a chance to attend our alma mater.

We hope that you will use this site to share your memories and read what others have said about friends, neighbors and family who have influenced so many of us.   It can and will become a resource for all of us to share.
