Jay Hull

 

Jay Hull, 68, of Lafayette, IN, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Creasy Springs.

Jay was born September 23, 1957, in Lafayette, IN, to the late James and Charlotte (Krauter) Hull.

On July 6, 1991, he married the love of his life, Rhea (Boggs) Hull, who preceded him in passing on June 3, 2022. Their marriage was filled with companionship, humor, and a shared appreciation for the simple routines of life.

Jay worked for Siemens Energy (formerly Landis & Gyr) for many years before retiring. After retiring, Jay devoted his time and energy to caring for others.

A longtime Purdue fan, Jay enjoyed keeping up with the team and took pride in being part of the Boilermaker community. He also had a special love for Christmas. For years, his home was known for its elaborate holiday light displays, a tradition he looked forward to and one that brought joy to neighbors and passersby.

Surviving are his children: Sara (husband, Shawn) Ragan of Florida and Ashley (husband, Jared) Walsh of South Carolina; grandchildren Lily Walsh and Trevor Ragan and great-granddaughter, Isabella Ragan.

Along with his wife, Rhea, he is preceded in passing by his parents and mother-in-law.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Jay’s nephew, Pastor Joe Boggs officiating.
