Tadd Davis

 


Thomas A. "Tadd" Davis 40, Indianapolis died at 5:53 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. 
Son of Dr. W. Eugene Davis and the late Shirley McCallum Davis, Tadd was born April 29, 1969 in Lafayette and grew up in West Lafayette. A graduate of West Lafayette High School, he earned bachelors degrees in History and Architecture from the University of Illinois, and then a Master s Degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. His university experience also included a year at University of Dundee in Scotland. 
Upon completion of his education, he was employed in the Facilities Planning Department at Columbia University. Returning to Indiana, he was then employed as a Network Administrator at Indiana Historic Landmarks Foundation in Indianapolis from October, 1999 to the time of his passing. 
Tadd s interests included history, foreign and domestic travel, literature, and gaming, online and with his many friends. As a founding member of Rogue Judges, he taught and judged a variety of card, board, and roleplaying games at the national conventions, Gencon (Milwaukee and Indianapolis) and Origins Game Fair. Surviving, in addition to his father (wife Carol), are his sister, Rebecca Davis Gardner (husband David) of Greenwood, SC, nephews Eric and Michael and niece Shirley. 
Memorial Service will be Saturday June 13, 2009 11:00 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Broad Ripple. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, 340 W. Michigan St. Indianapolis, IN 46202.
