Steve (Stephen) Bray was born in 1951 and passed away on April 22, 2025. Surviving family includes:
his spouse Diane Dakin,
his sons Aaron (spouse Elizabeth Jerison) and their young baby of Chicago and Elizabeth's father David Jerison (West Lafayette High School Class of 1971) of suburban Boston and
Joel,
his brother Peter Bray (spouse Bridget Reel) of Brooklyn, NY and their children Valerie Lincoln and Nathan Reel,
his sister Sharon Bray (spouse Leizer Goldsmith) of Chevy Chase, MD, and their chidren Rayza, Shayna and Hadara Goldsmith.
Steve and Diane were active community members in Olympia, Washington, where they lived for many years. Steven wrote for at least one local newspaper including some stories related to sports. Diane and Steve collected prescription medication that local residents were not using and shared it with Central American People, greatly helping them out. As a practicing physician, she and Steve did meaningful work therefor years,
Steve's parents (both deceased) were Ralph Bray and Felice (Tannenbaum) Bray.
Steve attended Burtsfield Elementary School, West Lafayette Junior High School and graduated from West Lafayette High School (Indiana) in 1969. He was a four year letterman in baseball and in tennis his last two high school years.

He was in the National Honor Society. He was the Student Council President and co-editor of the Purple Ardvaark.
Steve graduated from Yale University. His death resulted from years of organ failure resulting from the chemotherapy and radiation he received for cancer which was detected when he was 19 years old.
