Raymond Gregory Bula, known fondly to friends and family as Greg, passed away on September 25, 2024, in Georgetown, Kentucky, at the age of 71. Born on June 12, 1953, in Palmer, Alaska, Greg was the beloved son of Ray and Mary Bula and a cherished brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Greg graduated from West Lafayette (IN) High School in 1971 and Purdue University in 1975. He worked for the USDA as a federal grain inspector until his retirement in 2006 after 30 years of service. Retirement took him to Georgetown, KY where he enjoyed the horse racing world, working at Keeneland Racetrack, and the beauty of the area.
He was a man of faith, whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew him. Greg loved horses and travel.
Greg is survived by his loving parents, Ray and Mary Bula; his siblings, Margaret (Jim) Zimmermann, Joseph, Michael (Anne Marie), Catherine (Mike) Acton, Julie (Mike) Davies, and Carol (Dan) Geenen, and nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, William.
The memory of Raymond Gregory Bula will forever be cherished as a tapestry of kindness, faith, and gentle spirit that he wove into the lives of those around him. His departure leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. Greg's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain with us always.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25th at St Dominic Church, Brookfield WI. Visitation from 10:30 am -12:00 pm, Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm.
