Constance B. (Forster) Wilcox, born in 1941, died March 12, 1991 of cancer at Georgetown University Hospital.
She was a Washington, D.C. resident and legislative assistant on the staff of Representative Clarence E. Miller (R-Ohio) at the time of her death.
Connie Wilcox was born in St. Louis and grew up in Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from Valparaiso University and received a master's degree in liberal studies from Georgetown University.
She first came to Washington in 1963 working on the staff of Representative Charles A. Halleck (R-IN), the House Minority Leader until 1967, when she moved to Europe. She lived in England, Northern Ireland and West Germany, where she worked for the Army Education Center in Stuttgart.
In 1973, Connie Wilcox returned to Washington. She worked for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and then resumed her career on Capitol Hill. She was an assistant to Representative John W Wydler (R-NY), before she joined Miller's staff.
Ms. Wilcox was a member of the Indiana Society in Washington. Her marriage to Ronald Wilcox ended in divorce.
Survivors include her father, Dr. Walter O Forster of West Lafayette, Indiana, and a sister Vivian Baumann of New Palestine, IN.
