John Woerner

John Steven Woerner, 62, of Bradenton, FL, passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on Thursday, February 04, 2021.

He was born July 13, 1958 in West Lafayette, IN to Helen (Wehr) and Robert Nelson Woerner. He graduated from West Lafayette High School and attended Purdue University. He was a devoted Boilermaker. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Janet Averett. John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Marsha; his son, Michael (Tiffany); his daughter, Amelia; grandson, Ryder Charles Woerner all of Bradenton, FL; his brothers, David (MaryAnn) of Nashville, IN and Brian (Cathy) of Morgantown WV; his brother-in-law, Stuart Averett (Donna) of Springs, TX; nephews and nieces, Aaron Averett, Emily Boyd (Brendan), Robert Woerner (Sarah), Caitlyn Beckinger (Trent), Stephen Woerner and Teresa Woerner grand nieces, Sophia, Madelyn and Eva, also, a large in law family and many friends.

John was a computer geek who loved laughter, music, knowledge and Big 10 sports. His family surrenders his soul to our Lord and Savior and rejoices that his pain is no longer. There will be no local Services at this time.
