Rich Topalski
Richard Topalski, 70, of Northeastern Indiana, passed away on July 3, 2020 from complications caused by a lifetime of addiction to alcohol. He was born to parents Dorothy Novotny and Zigmund Topalski, on 09/21/1949 in Gary, Indiana. He graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1968, where he excelled at football and baseball and met his first wife, Pence Revington.
Rich spent many years in Mt. Horeb, WI, where he and Pence raised two daughters, Eliza (Fournier) Topalski and Jesse Topalski.
He enjoyed playing, watching, and talking about sports, fishing, reading, writing, dancing, creating and carpentry. Many homes in Mt. Horeb have been enhanced by Rich’s handiwork.
Richard is survived by Dorothy Novotny, Mother; Andrea Novotny, Sister; Mark Novotny, Brother; David Novotny, brother; Eliza (Topalski) Fournier, daughter; David Fournier, son-in-law; Georgia Fournier, granddaughter; Daniel Fournier, grandson; Jesse Topalski, daughter .
A virtual memorial will be held in the coming months to celebrate Rich’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rich’s name to Center for the Homeless, South Bend, Indiana.
