Betty L Roberts, 92, of West Lafayette, IN died April 8, 2015. She was born October 18, 1922, in Champaign County, IL to the late Elwin and Ruth Wallace. She is survived by sons Tom Roberts (Mary Alice), New York, NY and Mike Roberts (Gail), Cincinnati, OH and is the beloved Grammy of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Steve Roberts and daughter Kathy Timberlake.Betty graduated from West Lafayette High School and Purdue University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She was a devoted and creative fourth grade teacher at Miami School for 27 years. Upon retirement she continued her advocacy of children as a volunteer with CASA of Tippecanoe County for 10 years where she received the Margaret Hand Award. She was a member of Federated Church, West Lafayette and participated in many clubs and activities. She will be remembered for her sense of fun, her enthusiasm and her love of family traditions. Betty will be missed beyond measure by her family and friends. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Soller-Baker West Chapel followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Rev.
