Ronna Marie Jenkinson, 81, was received by her Heavenly Father on September 8th, 2016 in Bloomington, Indiana. She was surrounded by her loving family and passed peacefully in her home.
Ronna was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Rudae and Mary Marasco on February 10th, 1935. She attended West Lafayette High School and graduated in 1952. She attended both Indiana University and Ball State University, but it was while attending Ball State University that she met her future husband and love of her life, Edward B. Jenkinson of Muncie, Indiana. She and Edward were married on April 10th, 1954 after which they dedicated 62 loving years of matrimonial life together. She was a preschool teacher at St. Mark's Nursery School, a longtime member of the League of Women Voters, and a Cub Scout Den Mother for Park Ridge neighborhood. Ronna was a devout Catholic and head of confirmation at St. Charles Catholic Church for four years in the 80s. She loved spending time with and cooking for her family, caring for others, and wholly cherished her grandchildren. She always made time to listen to others and kept everyone in her prayers. Ronna loved everyone she met like family and made anyone who met her feel at ease with her warmth and generosity. She always served others before she served herself and was truly a living example of a passionate servant leader of our era.
