Christy Lynn Mun, 46 of West Lafayette, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 in her home in West Lafayette.
She was born April 2, 1970 in Lafayette to Jerry and Janie (Selvidge) Gruen of West Lafayette.
Christy attended West Lafayette schools, IVTC, and the Art Institute Culinary School of Indianapolis. She passionately enjoyed gourmet cooking and baking and sharing her creations with others. She loved reading (especially Stephen King novels) and writing book reviews. As her chronic condition worsened she spent more time watching movies on her computer, especially ones about the lives of real people.
She had been involved with Celebrate Recovery at Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving along with her parents are four daughters, Noelle D. Baker and Hannah C. Baker both of Lafayette and Lillyanna J. Richardson (husband Josiah) and Hope M. Baker both of Bloomington; her sister, Tami Borror (husband Bruce) of West Lafayette and four grandchildren, Josiah Jr and Lacey Richardson and Guenevere and Jacob Baker.
The ultimate healing she prayed for has come……..to be pain free and with Jesus. THANK YOU to those who have prayed and cared for her.
Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church at 310 Kalberer Rd West Lafayette, IN 47906 with Pastors Daniel Berry and Reginald Alderman officiating. I discovered Christy's death two years two late, and I'm sorry kiddo. I loved you as a childhood friend, and I missed out knowing you as an adult. We ran into each other one day while I was on a run for Amused Clothing from WL to Bloomington. You were sitting behind the register, tending to your child, and I didn't want to bother you. I wish I had. RIP, Christy.
