Karen Haas Arth, 61, of Battle
Ground, IN died Saturday March 5, 2016.
Karen was born in Minneapolis, MN. August 7, 1954 the daughter of Rosemarie Lawrence and the late Charles F. Haas. She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School in 1972 and received her Bachelors of Pharmacy from Purdue University in 1975. She had been employed at Arth Drug Stores and other pharmacies in the Lafayette area.
Karen was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the Tippecanoe County Pharmacist's Board and a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority at Purdue.
She was first married to David Arth in West Lafayette in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1994. She later married Michael A. "Mike" Motuliak in Lafayette and he survives.
Surviving are two daughters, Emily Walkey (Jeffrey) of Pewaukee, WI and Annelise Arth of Atlanta, GA; her mother Rosemarie Lawrence Haas of West Lafayette; a brother, Mark Haas (Kathryn) of Veedersburg, IN; two sisters, Jo Ann Haner (Scott) of Louisville, KY and Nora Haas of West Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Liesel and Augustine Haas.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Haas Arth.
A Rosary Service will be held at 4:45 PM Friday, with visitation from 5 until 8 PM Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fr. Eric Underwood officiating, with interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society .
