Joel Todd Christopher, 35, of Bowling Green, KY, died at 9:19 PM Monday, May 1, 2006, in Bowling Green. He formerly lived in West Lafayette.
Born Aug. 5, 1970, in Lafayette, to
John A. and Joyce Sayers Christopher of West Lafayette, he spent most of his
life in the Lafayette area.
Mr. Christopher graduated from West
Lafayette High School in 1988. He received a degree in history in
1993 from Franklin College, where he was on the football team.
He was a grant writer for Western
Kentucky University and a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
His hobbies were studying history of
the Civil War, writing, reading and traveling.
Surviving besides his parents is a brother,
Gregory Christopher (wife: Tina) of West Lafayette.
Visitation 5-8 PM Friday at
Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., with service there at 10:30 AM
Saturday, Pastor Rick Romeo officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens,
West Lafayette.
Also surviving are a nephew, Zachary
Christopher of West Lafayette; two nieces, Megan and Allison Christopher; an
Aunt Janyce (Norman) Wade of Greenwood; an uncle, William (Merona) Christopher
of Noblesville. Preceded in death by grandparents, William and Virginia
McCloskey Christopher, Grover H. "Ted" and Norma Richey Sayers.
