Robert Maple Craw, 80, a
lifelong resident of Lafayette, passed away on November 30, 2013 at 11:08 p.m.
at IU Health Arnett. Robert was born on February
7, 1933 in Lafayette to the late Charles E. and Helen (Maple)
Craw. He was a 1952 graduate of West Lafayette
High School, and went on to receive his Associates degree from Ferris State
College. On August 30 1958, Robert married
Maureen Day in Hart, MI, and she survives. He served honorably in the United
States Army as a Corporal and Tank Commander. Robert
worked for his father's business, Lafayette Typesetting Company as a Linotype
Operator and Printer for 29 years. Robert and
his two brothers enjoyed spending time at the beach on Lake Michigan at the
outlet. He also enjoyed fishing and Purdue sports.
Surviving along with his wife, are two sons; R. Kevin (wife: Susan) Craw, and Andrew D. Craw, both of Lafayette. Also surviving, are two brothers, Charles E. Jr. (wife: Sally) Craw of Lafayette, and Timothy Craw of Ludington, MI., and three grandchildren, Joshua Craw, Martin Craw, and Andrew P. Halsema, one great grandchild, Brett Alan Halsema-Cadwallader.
