Margaret Shaw

MARGARET LAUREL SHAW, 83, passed away February 26, 2014 after a longtime battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a retired employee of Clinton County Hospital in Frankfort, IN. where she worked her entire career, and a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. Margaret was a 1949 graduate of West Lafayette High School, W. Lafayette, IN., a 1953 graduate of Purdue University where she received her BS, and a 1954 graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Medical Technology, in Lafayette, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Stacy F. and Helen Nickels Shaw; her brothers, Carl R. Shaw and Stacy R. Shaw and his wife Roberta. Survivors include her sister, Rosemary S. Hatcher (J. Carroll); sister-in-law, Tazuko N. Shaw; nephews, Carl A. Shaw (Nancy), Wayne R. Shaw, James C. Hatcher (Katherine), Robert L. Hatcher (Bridget), Christopher Hatcher (Tamara); nieces, Diane Shaw Jackson (John), and Helen N. Shaw; five great nephews; five great nieces; and two great great nieces. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, Lafayette, IN. Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Valley View Church or Gideon International.
