Ronald A. Rusk, 59
Ronald A. "Ron" Rusk, 59, of Monticello, died at 7:52 am, Thursday,
February 2, 2012 at IU White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was born February 3, 1952 in Lafayette to the late Walter Dean Rusk and Phyllis (Allen) Rusk who survives in Lafayette. On his birthday, February 3, 1996 he married the former Denise (Kesler) Leonard in Monticello and she survives.
He was 1970 graduate of West Lafayette High School and a 1974 graduate of Ball State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Accounting.
He was a custodian at Woodlawn Elementary School in Monticello. Ron was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching professional football, college football, NASCAR, and basketball. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Denise and his mother, Phyllis he is also survived by a daughter, Nicole (David) Langager of LaPorte; two stepdaughters, Courtney Coonrod of Florida, Angella Leonard of Buffalo; stepson, John Leonard of Buffalo; sister, Carolyn (Dan) Galema of Lafayette; and four grandchildren, McKenna, Ayden, Aaliyah Langager, and Jerrin Coonrod. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley McIntyre.
Visitation will be from 1pm until 3pm, Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 3pm Sunday with Rev. Mearl Hodges officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to his wife Denise Rusk. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
