RENSSELAER -- Robert I. Bartlett, 58, of rural Rensselaer, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
Born on Dec. 4, 1950, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Gale Irving and Ruth Evelyn Correll Bartlett.
He had been a resident of the Rensselaer area since 1977. He had previously lived in Lafayette and Monticello and was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson High School.
On May 26, 1978, in Rensselaer, he married Judith Ann Davenport, and she survives.
For the past year he worked in maintenance at Smith Transport of Remington. He was a member of Burr Oak Mennonite Church.
Surviving with his wife are his children, Bruce W. Wilson (wife: Emily) of Monticello, Joseph C. Bartlett (fiancée: Amy Garling) of Lafayette and Shelly R. Gilliana (husband: Michael) of Hobart; sisters, Gail Bartlett of Lafayette, Karen Bartlett of California and Mary Conlin (husband: Joseph) of Florida; and brothers, Richard Bartlett and Joseph Bartlett...
