Peter M Scott: Peter served as Drum Major in the West Lafayette High School marching band 1963-64. After graduation in 1964 he attended Alma College, Alma, Michigan where he earned a BA in Political Science. After serving in the navy between 1968 and 1972, which he detested and thought was a waste of time, he attended Miami University, Miami, Ohio for a time. Afterwards he lived in Ft Wayne, Indiana, and worked at the public library system for a number of years. He also earned a MA in publishing studies from the University of Sterling, Scotland. He moved to Canada in 1976 and worked at a variety of jobs, including piano tuning and baking, in Hamilton, Ontario, where he was living at the time of his death in January 2001, (due to cardiovascular disease). Peter had an intense love of books and music all his life, and, to quote Wm Wordsworth, was intensely motivated by a "fraternal love for those unassuming things that hold a silent station in this beauteous world". I am his brother, Bruce Scott, class of 1965.
