Sarah (Mavity) Grove

 

Sarah M. Grove nee Mavity, 81 of Arlington Heights, passed away on January 25th, 2022. She was born on September 7th, 1940 in Angola, Indiana. Beloved mother of Richard (Natasha) Grove Jr., Kyle (Melissa) Grove, and Erin (Jeff) Schwartz. Cherished grandmother of Brittany Grove, Conner Grove, Calvin Schwartz, Macy Schwartz, Ryan Schwartz, Evan Grove, Delaney Grove, Carson Grove, Michelle Grove, Keira Grove, and Avery Grove. She is preceded in death by her sisters Patricia (Clark) O’Shaughnessey, Suzanne (Dale) Hobbs, and her parents, Paul W. Mavity and Eva Mavity nee Mallow. Sarah was engaged in various creative endeavors at all times. She was a neighborhood fixture as a hairstylist in Arlington Heights for over 30 years and started a second career staging homes. She enjoyed volunteering at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who always made herself available to help others. Everyone will remember “G.G.” for her boundless energy, youthful spirit, and love for music.
